After completing an apprenticeship and having worked on many large commercial projects for major painting companies, Graham had the direction and industry knowledge he needed to successfully launch G &S into the Brisbane market.
The G & S Philosophy was founded on honesty, integrity and passion and created their mantra “focusing on excellence”. Together, Graham and the team at G & S have built longstanding relationships within the industry between employees, project managers and clients.
Two long standing employees at G & S Painters have contributed to driving the team forward: Danny Smith, one of the company’s foremen has been with the company for 20 years, and their former employee, Stan Duller, was with the company for 19 years before taking retirement.
“When the company was is in its early stages it was important to build it up with the right people. I was grateful to have such supportive, longstanding staff who have helped to make this company what it is today” said Graham, “We find that there are many things that we do that differentiates us from our competitors. We call it the G & S Difference.”
- Experience: With a combined total of 125 years of experience between our senior staff, G & S prides itself on its ability to deliver.
- Foresight: G & S were one of the first companies in Brisbane to adopt scissor lifts and booms to paint hard to reach places instead of using mobile scaffold. Furthermore Graham and the team are always looking for cutting edge techniques to streamline their performance.
- Team: G & S believe that there is no “i” in team. With their long standing employees they form a close knit family who work together to produce the best results for their clients.
- Community: G & S always looks to give back to the community. The company regularly donate to worthwhile causes such as ‘Ride for Cancer’ and ‘Shave for a Cure’ as well as donating to help fund student projects at QUT. More importantly the company were there to lend a hand in the 2011 floods. During 2011 the team used their utes, water blasters, scaffolding and time to help out one of their own employees and his neighbours who were devastated by the flood.
